Jacoe-Conarroe House
1131 Jefferson Avenue

Katie Mossoni Porta purchased these lots in 1931 and with her husband, John L Porta, built this wood frame home in 1932. He operated a pool hall in town. Pasqual Joacoe, Director of the Colorado Department of Health’s Occupational and Radiological Health Division, and his wife Loretta, lived in the house next, followed by owners of The Louisville Times newspaper, Percy & Carolyn Conarroe, who lived there from 1966 until 1999.

Stop by the Museum to learn about hidden and interesting aspects of Louisville history and to tour the historic buildings on our Museum campus at 1001 Main St. during Louisville’s First Friday Art Walks! The Three Coins Restaurant was known for its fine dining and Wurlitzer organ. Come listen to recordings of this Wurlitzer, learn about its journey across the United States over the decades since the 1920s, and discover the history of the restaurant.

CenterStage is excited to help you relive your childhood memories by bringing Schoolhouse Rock Live! JR to the stage. Schoolhouse Rock is performed by CenterStage’s Tapestry Theatre Company which brings inclusive theatre to life in Boulder County by providing local actors the chance to shine on stage. Schoolhouse Rock’s cast is multi-generational and casts actors of all abilities. This unique model highlights the strengths of all actors, while challenging societal perceptions about people with disabilities. Tickets $10-$25.

CenterStage Theatre Company is excited to offer The Animal Farm Writing/Acting Workshop: A collaboration with film and theatre artist, Mathew Klickstein, in the creative reimagining of the classic story, Animal Farm. This workshop – part improv, part discussion group, part creative play – is for youth ages 8 to 14 who will have the opportunity to share their unique voices and perspectives in concocting a new script based on the themes of the famous Orwell story.
