This month we celebrate a few national holidays like Groundhog Day, President’s Day, and the Superbowl,(that’s a national holiday isn’t it?). There’s Mardi Gras of course, and did you know its also Rosa Parks Day, (February 4) National Wear Red Day (February 6) and Daisy Gatson Bates Day (February 16). But the sweetest of them all, is Valentine’s Day and you can be sure that our retailers will have lots of good sales for gifts of love, and our restaurants will have special sweetheart dinners. We hope you enjoy.
This month also kicks off the 2015 First Friday Art Walk on February 6. Galleries, merchants and eateries will feature great art, food, crafts and fun. And the holiday lights will still be up to add to the festive experience.
