First Friday Art Walk June 1
6:00 – 9:00 pm
The galleries and merchants of the Louisville Arts District present receptions, beautiful artwork and exhibits.
Creations Gallery of Fine Arts is celebrating its first year in business with a junque food potluck picnic. Bring junk food to share and enjoy the live music by Living Easy, the guitar and singing duo of Louisville residents Andy and Joan Langford. Creations will also host a public forum about art and public education with U.S. Representative Jared Polis on June 2 from 1:30 – 3 pm at the Gallery, 940 Main St. Attendance is free and all are welcome.

Louisville Farmers Market
Saturdays through October 13
8 am – 1pm
Entertainment, cooking demos and lots of good, fresh food from local vendors.
Other Farmers Market events include opening remarks by Mayor Muckle, and a host of great bands for Louis-palooza throughout the day.
Farm to table lunches at the Farmers Market from 12 pm – 1 pm starting June 30
The FORK will also launch its Summer Markets at their 639 Main St. location. The markets feature high quality handmade items and art that make great gifts and beautify your home. Dates are June 2, 23; July 7, 21 and 28.

Second Year Anniversary of Old Friends
Celebrating 2 gosh darn good years on Front Street, Old Friends is having a sale on selected items and is giving away a coupon for Sweet Cow ice cream with the purchase of $25 or more. SWEET!
On June 15, Old Friends will donate 25% of store sales to Team Louisville, a group of women who are participating in the Avon Walk for the Cure later in the month, in support of fellow Louisville residents who are battling breast cancer. GO TEAM and everyone get to Old Friends to rally for the cause!
Bittersweet Café will also hold a fundraiser for this group of energetic and enthusiastic women on June 1 from 5:30 pm – 8 pm. Party with a Purpose is an all girls event with great food, drink and entertainment. Tickets are $20. For further information contact Renee at Schiffhauer@comcast.net.

New Hours for Historical Museum
Beginning the week of Memorial Day, the Historical Museum will suspend its Tuesday hours and be open instead on Friday from 3 pm – 8 pm. Learn your history; see the band. Sounds good to us!

This is the kick-off event for all summer reading programs. Watch the Muppets take back their theatre from the evil Tex Richman, and Kermmy and Piggy make mookie!!! (just a kiss, dont get excited parents).

Dream Big... READ
Children: 2nd to 6th grade
Activities include programs exploring meteors with the Fiske Planetarium, creating slime and ooze with the WOW Museum, designing a LEGO land; magicians, fractured fairy tales and more. The Australian Animals and Art Club is back for a four-week session, and there will be lots of fun and prizes, as well as Lakeside tickets at the end of the completed program.
Own the Night
Teen: 7th grade and above
Teens will discover lots of special activities for them this summer including a chainmail jewelry workshop, a Dark Knight/Batman movie marathon, and a filmmaking program. There will also be game nights and a Bookworms book discussion club. Check the Library website and Facebook pages for program information.
Between the Covers
Adult: 18 or older
Explore new interests, try new authors, and be a good model for your children or younger family members. Activities this year include a night photography workshop, a film noir feature and discussion, and a tour and tasting at a local brew pub.

Music faculty, adult students and special guest band, The Bluezzers, to benefit the Key Players Music Mentoring Program, a unique scholarship program that is open to anyone wishing to sponsor the music education of a deserving local child. Scholarships will cover partial or full tuition costs for recommended students to study private or group instrumental lessons at Dana V. Music.
